In this scenario I will show you how \u00a0easy is switch over MS Exchange from Primary office to Branch office if you lost \u00a0\u00a0Primary office.<\/p>\n

In this MS Exchange I have enable Datacenter Activate Coordination mode, but during these steps it will be not important.<\/p>\n

command –<\/p>\n

Set-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -Identity DAG1 -DatacenterActivationMode DagOnly<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now we have<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

2 x nodes<\/p>\n

2 locality<\/p>\n

2 x witness<\/p>\n

Disaster \u2013 Primary office locality lost power<\/p>\n

\"DAG\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

logon to srv Node2 and run Powershell as Administrator.<\/p>\n

Check if Cluster is running. If not run –<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\n

Net start clussvc \/forcequorum<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Stop-databaseavaibilitygroup \u2013identity DAG1 \u2013mailboxserver Node1\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Restore-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -Identity DAG1 -AlternateWitnessServer nameofCAS -AlternateWitnessDirectory D:\\path<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0.<\/b><\/p>\n

If you get power back to Primary office and turn on the servers and you will want to add server Node1 back to DAG1, run this command.<\/p>\n

Add-DatabaseAvailabilityGroupServer -Identity DAG01 -MailboxServer Node1<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Show status of DAG (………primaryActiveManager)<\/p>\n

Get<\/strong>–DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -status | fl<\/strong><\/p>\n
